I’m Matt Cimino, a basketball coach and the founder of Blueprint Athletics.I’ve spent my life around the game of basketball - as a player, a coach, and now as someone focused on helping athletes develop the right way.I played at the Division I level and have been fortunate to experience high-level basketball environments, from nationally recognized prep-school and grassroots programs to college programs, all competing at a high level.Today, I’m the head coach at Greely High School and have coached at the Varsity and JV levels, helping build competitive, disciplined programs centered on development.I also grew up in a family deeply involved in the game. My sisters both played at a high level, which gave me an early perspective on what long-term athlete development looks like.Being around those environments helped shape how I view training, decision-making, and progression over time.Through these experiences, one thing has become clear:Many athletes are busy, playing on multiple teams, attending workouts, and staying active, but without a clear plan, progress often stalls.I’ve seen firsthand how important structure, decision-making, and long-term planning are in an athlete’s development.Blueprint Athletics was built to solve that problem. The goal is simple: help athletes and families cut through the noise and build a clear, realistic plan for development - one that actually leads to progress. When you work with me, you’re not just getting advice, you’re getting a structured approach to:
Training and development
Team and seasonal decisions
Long-term trogression
So everything your athlete is doing works together with purpose.Based in Southern Maine, I work with athletes and families who want a smarter, more intentional approach to development. If you’re looking for clarity and direction for your athlete:
